• Translation from original language as provided by authorForeign fibers in cotton affect the quality of textiles seriously. It's an important issue in cotton spinning industry to remove foreign fibers. Currently, there have been some equipment of removing foreign fibers in cotton, but it is not satisfied with the demand for production. The removing efficiency of some equipment is low, and some can only removing certain foreign fibers. In order to remove foreign fibers in cotton accurately and efficiently, this paper has studied the key parts of the system. Firstly, the whole structural of removing foreign fibers in cotton system has designed in this paper, and analyze the structure and the working mode of cotton transmission pipeline, CCD camera detecting parts and removing foreign fibers components in detail. Secondly, this paper has researched the opener in the front parts of the removing foreign fibers system, and optimized speed, diameter of the taker and the feed roller and rack profile parameters.
