The usages of tenses are constantly discussed by linguistics, learners and teachers. However, it is common for us to find various misuses of tenses in high school students' compositions. We can find a number of researches related with verb tenses or analysis of tenses errors in some English journals. Pitifully, the number of this kind of researches through the use of corpus is limited. Moreover, most of them focus on university students' tense errors. So the writer began the research of analyzing the tense errors supported by corpus of the compositions from a certain group of high school students.
