• Translation from original language as provided by authorThrips was a kind of small size insect and lived in tender tissues,flowers and litter plants,some species also could transmitte plants virus,which could cause extensive crop and garden plants damages.This paper studied the domestic agriculture and forestry common thrips species,including 3 families 40 genus 78 species,which were based on a wide range investigation of China and laboratory specimen.There was about 516 photos in this paper which were selected from about 2000 photos,and detailed described identification features of thrips,and index pictures also be maded in this paper.Of all species,there was 1 genus and 4 specis newly recorded in China.All specimen were photoed and deposited in Department of Entomomlogy,South China Agricultural University,Guangzhou. New record genus in China: Echinothrips Moulton,1911. New records species in China: Echinothrips americanus Morgan,1913; Frankliniella cephalica(Crawford,1910); Frankliniella schultzei(Trybom,19
