Database, the center of data storage, has a serious security problem. Database encryption, that is, store the encrypted data in database, is an effective measure to protect data confidentiality. The model Kevin Kenan proposed is modified in this paper as the following: 1, Encryption is regarded as network service, especially LAN service. 2, Add key configuration table between service consumer and key manifest, so the keys for sensitive data can be found easily. 3, Key configuration and key manifest are application-oriented. Key manifest is maintained by multi-level key library and can be read only by application system. Key manifest ID was sent to service provider.
