Translation from original language as provided by authorAs a new kind travel mode, outdoor self-guided tour has its positive meaning and at the same run risks. The existing self-guided tours in China are mostly loose type team, and the tourists are lack of sense of security and outdoor survival capability and necessity measures, which is the main cause of the personal injury accidents. The existing laws lack the recognized criterions, which lead to different judgments. This thesis, with the Case of the Chinese Self-guided Tourists as an example, analyses the details of the case and the final judgment in considering the concept, cause and characteristics of the self-guided tour and attempts to find out whether the founders or the organizers should be liable for compensations if any accident happens. This research is carried out in three parts and the research methodology is case study, system analysis and document analysis.
