And, ship designers and shipyards all put efforts in second developing of CADDS5 continually to satisfy the new requirements on ship 3D model raised by manufacturing pattern, management work-flow, techniques and design conventions. In the process of ship design and manufacturing based on CADDS5 system, hull designers need a rapid modeling utility to construct 3D hull model with low cost and short time at the initial stage of ship production design. Whereas, the rapid hull model can be the basis for later design and other related fields work. This thesis does some researches on the parametric methods of ship hull basic structure's (shell plates, main deck, inner shell, bulkhead etc.) 3D modeling and the methods of automatic constructing model, moreover, a practical and rapid modeling utilities' software package has been developed to support ship hull
