She has gone abroad twice, lived in France for forty years persevering for art all her life .She put the style of Chinese art into the Western oil painting, and put the Western painting techniques into Chinese painting. She has made great achievements, and played an important role in Chinese art history. However, Pan Yuliang has been neglected for a long time, and her paintings are not familiar with others. The study on Pan Yuliang is also much less than the male artist in the same period. Until the rise of feminism, it was re-concerned by the academia. This thesis is a case study of Pan Yuliang.
