Translation from original language as provided by authorProject management is very important to modern scientific research and production. It is a key to improve enterprise's productivity. Project management is also a subject of management science. This paper research some theory of project management and focus on how them be used on a project of an aerospace institute, the PDM project. In this paper, through analyzing the project progress and project control, combining theory and the actual situation, an overall project schedule plan is made first. Then when the project is in progress, a project tracing and adjustment system is established for balancing and managing the confliction in this project. Based on the work above, this paper further explores how theory is used in a project through tracing the whole schedule control in PDM project. This paper induces the background, the tendency and the status of project management first. Then the basic information of PDM project and the schedule control methods used
