  • Translation from original language as provided by authorCadmium telluride(CdTe) and cadmium sulfide(CdS) are common semiconductor materials used in thin film solar cells. The conversion efficiency of CdTe/CdS thin film solar cell has reached 16.5% in the laboratory. In this paper, we have studied the preparation, treatment and characterization of the related materials in CdTe thin film solar cells. In Chapter Ⅰ, we first studied the history of solar cells and the basic work principle of it. Then we introduced characteristics and structure of CdTe and CuInSe2 thin film solar cell. Finally, ohmic contact in the CdTe thin film solar cell has been learned. In Chapter Ⅱ, polycrystalline CdTe thin films were successfully prepared by three electrodes electrochemical deposition. X-ray diffraction(XRD), Rman, scanning electron microscope(SEM) were used to investigate the effect of CdCl2 heat treatment on the crystal structure and microstructure of as-deposited CdTe.
