- Translation from original language as provided by authorThe TMS320DM6446 DMSoC DaVinci platform (also referenced as TMS320DM6446 DMSoC) is a new systems-on-chip leverages Texas Instruments' Davinci technology to meet the processing needs of next-generation embedded devices. The dual-core architecture and rich peripheral set of the TMS320DM6446 DMSoC provide a hardware platform for us to develop the Embedded Face Recognition System. In this thesis, an embedded face recognition system solution based on TMS320DM6446 DMSoC DaVinci platform was developed. IntelR OpenCV, a widely used computer vision library, is successfully transplanted to the TMS320DM6446 DMSoC with both ARM and DSP cores. Based on the IntelR OpenCV library and TMS320DM6446 DMSoC DaVinci platform, the project has also transplanted a Haar-like cascade classifier based face detection algorithm and a Gabor wavelet based face recognition algorithm.
