• A first group of papers stems from other related research projects on early modern correspondence in the planning stages, one conceived for a printed edition and two that seek to leverage computing for electronic projects. Because of the disciplinary focus of the conference, the essays tend to leave the broader significance of the letters, and their place in a Renaissance humanist "epistolary culture" (Briefkultur), unexplored.
