• ABSTRACT We would like to develop and deepen here the principles of the gomezdavilian's art of writing and quoting (Zitierkunst) based on the thesis of Leo Strauss about the "literary question", Le, the importance of the form to understand the substance of a thought, and the distinction between esoteric and exoteric teaching. Sin embargo, a diferencia del escoliasta medieval, el texto de este escoliasta "moderno" que pretende ser Gómez Dávila no es único -a pesar del título en singular de su obra- pero nos aparece como múltiple, polifónico y por lo tanto no se puede reducir a una temática en particular, así sea bastante recurrente6. "La abolición de la sociedad jerárquica motivó el Entfremdung" y, en fin, la citación escondida como el mismo Montaigne confesaba que lo hacía con frecuencia y, casi siempre, a propósito [3]. [...]Kinzel (5), al resaltar el carácter "remático" del título de la principal obra gomezdaviliana, ha visto muy bien que este no da indicación sobre el contenido del libro, sino más bien sobre la manera de escribir, tal como Genette lo ha explicado. "The epigraphs establish some interpretive coordinates that do not focus so much on the 'what' of this text as on the 'how' of its construction, i.e., its inner structure as well as an appropriate reading behaviour" (Kinzel 28).
