Beschreibungen/Notizen
Lost is a celebrated and high profile network television series, and it carries considerable influence in its representation of gender in the media and popular culture. Surprisingly, there has been little academic or media commentary on the series' overtly sexist presentation of women. It is possible that Lost's disproportionately old fashioned set of heroes and heroines were shaped by mainstream network pressures, an almost all-male production team, and the overly masculine and patriarchal texts which inspired Lost's mythology.
