Aberdeen University Library MS 243 contains as its final item, after an 'uninterpolated' text of Rolle's English Psalter and all twelve English canticles ascribed to Rolle, an English work consisting essentially of commentary on the nine lessons from Job in the Office for the Dead. The source is principally an epitome of Gregory's Moralia in Job ascribed to Rolle in the Cologne 1536 edition of his works, with some few additions, though nothing from Rolle's own Latin Job. The treatment is closely parallel to that of Rolle's English Canticles. This evidence suggests that the work is the 'Lessouns of Dirige' stated by a Lollard writer in the early fifteenth century to have been produced by Rolle.
