• Un pendentif en ambre de Lavello (Daunie) appartient au mobilier d'une tombe datable du IVe s. av. J.-C. Il représente une tête féminine de profil, aux caractères insolites par rapport à la série des ambres figurés d'Italie du Sud. L'A. cherche à en préciser la chronologie, le style et le milieu de production. Analogies avec le « groupe de Roccanova », mais des différences sensibles aussi. Comparaisons avec des pièces de l'atelier du « Satyre et de la Ménade », avec les terres cuites, les protomés et les antéfixes, avec l'artisanat de Tarente. En fait, l'ambre de Lavello est probablement l'un des premiers produits de l'atelier de Roccanova, dans la fin du VIe s. L'atelier pourrait être tarentin et avoir principalement travaillé pour la clientèle indigène. L'influence de l'Étrurie sur les ambres est abordée An amber pendant from Lavello (Daunia) belongs to the furniture of a grave of the 4th century BC. It shows a woman's head in profile with unsual features in comparison with the series of figurative ambers from Southern Italy. The A. tries to precise its chronology, its style and its production environment. Analogies with the « Roccanova group », but also noticeable differences. Comparisons with pieces from the workshop of « the Satyr and the Maenad », with the terracottas, with the protomai and antefixes, with the craft of Taranto. In fact, the amber from Lavello is probably one of the first products of the Roccanova workshop, by the end of the 6th century. The workshop might be located in Taranto and have mainly worked for the local clientèle. The influence of Etruria on the ambers is taken into consideration.
