• In 1905, Einstein published five epoch-making significance paper successively, which made the important contribution for the foundation for the theory of relativity establishment and the development of the quantum theory. For commemorating this miracle of 100th anniversary, the United Nations 58th congress passed that the year 2005 was chosen as the World Year of Physics(WYP) by acclamation in June 10, 2004. WYP aimed to raise the worldwide awareness of physics and physical science. In this background, the author chooses this topic to study. In the first chapter, it analyzes the background of establishing the theory of relativity. In the second chapter, it analyzes the process of establishing the theory of relativity. In the third chapter, it analyzes the domestic(two parts including engineering course teaching material and liberal arts teaching material) and foreign newest popular university physics teaching material.
