This work offers a meta heuristic technique for assigning a robust eigen structure to Multivariable Flight Control and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Systems. The closed-loop eigenvalues and eigen vectors can be used to efficiently shape the transient response of a dynamic system (eigen structure). It also allows for decoupling between different control modes. The H-infinity optimization approach and eigenstructure assignment are used to minimize a combined time and frequency performance index. Various approaches, such as the directed Search Algorithm, have been presented to ensure the optimization of the aforementioned objective issue. This method only produces local minima and necessitates the computation of local gradients of the objective function, making it difficult and time-consuming. The Harmony Search algorithm is presented as a solution to this problem. It is easier to compute and produces more accurate results than the former. To demonstrate the effectiveness of this algorithm, a practical design example of lateral flight control model of UAV has been considered.
