Beschreibungen/Notizen
This chapter presents the voices of three women co-authors who speak to their own and each other's bodies in their supervision encounters and supervisory relationships over time. From the perspectives of supervisor of supervisor - supervisor - and supervisee, the authors identify key aspects of their supervision experience that hold sacred their embodied presence as woman practitioners in service of their clients.
The writing retraces the authors' research process, an artistic enquiry based on the performance, witnessing and photographing of a somatic Collective Body Mapping Ritual (CBMR). Recollections of key moments in the ritual lead to reflections on their significance for an embodied and sacred holding environment in supervision. The chapter further draws on Jungian and shamanic concepts of the sacred, the practice of Authentic Movement, literature from feminist therapy and supervision, and references to prenatal psychology. It culminates in three articulations of the woman's body in supervision and identifies corresponding supervisory modes of holding sacred.
