Herbicide transport is an essential process for controlling weed propagules present in the soil, but it can cause the contamination of surface and groundwater. The magnitude of this process depends on the soil's physical, chemical, and biological attributes; herbicide properties; and climatic conditions. Therefore, agricultural practices, such as biochar, can change soil attributes and, consequently, the transport of herbicides in the environment. This chapter seeks a detailed approach to the transport of herbicides in soils modified with biochar, highlighting the factors that interfere in this dynamic and the principal methodologies used in the studies. The presence of biochar in soils has resulted in greater sorption of many herbicides, influencing the mobility of these products in the soil profile. The herbicides retained in the most superficial layers of the soil with biochar can provide more effective control of weeds assuming these products are kept close to the weed propagules. It reduces the environmental impact of herbicides. Thus, biochar is an alternative for herbicides' management in agricultural fields and a strategy for the remediation of contaminated sites or places with the potential for contamination due to the transport process.
