• The human capital of a nation is shaped by a variety of factors including education, population demographics, employment, economic sectors, and government policy. Consistent with unified growth theory, these factors serve as an ecosystem that influences the human capital of a nation. While policymakers are often concerned with influencing this ecosystem, it is business leaders who must understand the impact of these factors and intern, how their organisations contribute towards human capital development. Human capital development has become a strategic element of business success and global decision-making in recent years.
