  • Nanotechnology is the cutting edge in the field of science that deals with the particles that are in nanoscale. Nanoparticles have almost become the most inevitable part of every device that has been invented recently. The demand for compactness and ease of access led to the discovery of nanoscience. These nanoparticles may not necessarily be natural but can be synthesized artificially in the lab environment. Thus, the synthesized nanoparticles should be characterized to understand the structure, size, shape, chemical composition, and function or altered function. There are many instruments that can be used to characterize the nanoparticles. They include UV-Visible spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, X-ray diffraction, dynamic light scattering, Zeta potential, scanning electron microscope, transmission electron microscope, and atomic force microscope. Thus, using these techniques either individually or by coupling it with one or more devices can yield an effective data about the nanoparticles that are synthesized.
