• In recent times, heavy industrialization and globalization have paved the way for the iron and steel industry to reach its peak and have attained tremendous growth. When the world is facing drastic water shortage problems, huge statistics of steel production and freshwater usage in the different units of the steel industry are of great concern. Thus, it is very important to provide advancements and progress toward water treatment technologies in order to reduce the usage of freshwater and provide zero effluent discharge in steel industries. This chapter elaborates the various conventional and advanced techniques to treat and reuse the wastewater generated from the various units of the steel industry. Moreover, various integrated hybrid techniques have been discussed in detail, and their future prospects were also discussed for better efficient working and treatment.
