  • DREAMS stands for Desire, Readiness, Empowerment, Action, and Mastery for Success. It is an after-school intervention (ASI) to strengthen psychosocial development of youths. Present study aims to test the feasibility of DREAMS ASI in developing knowledge and awareness of UNs Sustainable Development Goals 4, 5, and 11 among rural youths of India. The intervention had 100 youth participants aged from 11 to 14 years. Mentors led the intervention under the supervision of community leaders of the villages. DREAMS core members trained mentors and community leaders on the intervention activities. Study employed a mixed-method study design to test the feasibility of ASI as an innovative alternative approach to spreading knowledge and awareness on SDGs. Study included a post-test and semi-structured interview with participants, mentors, and community leaders to test the feasibility. Study found ASI as an innovative alternative and effective approach to spreading knowledge and awareness on SDGs through post-test results and inductive analysis of the interview data. Study recommends similar studies to confirm the same.
