• ‘To develop innovations that help solve specific problems in health care’. That was the reason CbusineZ was founded in 2001, in the words of Joep de Groot, Chairman of the Board of Directors. CbusineZ saw opportunities in areas where the standard measures employed by its parent company, the health insurance company CZ Zorgverzekeringen, might fail to produce the desired results. The company was launched ten years ago with only a director and a secretary and now has a team of 15 employees. Originally financed with a €10 million loan from CZ, CbusineZ is now largely financially independent. Sales are encouraging and CbusineZ’s ventures yield sufficient resources for funding a substantial share of the investments being made.
