• A la saga populaire on a généralement attribué - par rapport au conte - un contenu plus réel. Malgré cela elle a été considérée comme une forme narrative qui appartient au passé et qui n'a aujourd'hui aucune possibilité pratique de réalisation. Cependant les principales motivations psychiques qui sont à la base de chaque création légendaire ne se sont pas jusqu'à présent modifiées beaucoup. Avec une perspective pluridisciplinaire, l'auteur indique ici des nouveaux points de vue pour l'interprétation de la saga, en examinant d'abord son aspect morphologique et en décrivant les signes de sa structure intérieure et extérieure. Le contenu forme la base du développement historique du thème et des motifs: à ce point là l'auteur met en évidence des liens très importants que l'on peut réléver entre les motifs de la saga et ceux du conte. Il examine ensuite la saga en tant que « concrétisation de la croyance populaire » du point de vue psychologique. L'auteur prend en considération la saga même comme indicateur de culture, et vise à en donner une interprétation historique-culturelle, soulignant la fonction de la saga dans la sphère humaine et sociale, et précisant que la saga peut être considérée comme un exemple de résolution, en sens positif ou négatif, de certains conflits humains et sociaux. A ce propos il nous signale aussi quelques essais d'interprétation moderne, qui présentent la saga d'une façon plus compréhensible et plus actuelle. The folk saga is generally ascribed a real content greater than the one the fairy-tale is ascribed, to notwithstanding this it is considered a narrative form belonging to the past and that cannot be practiced any longer. It is often forgotten that the fundamental psychological motivations, which underlie any legendary interpretation, have been scarcely modified until today. From a multiform point of view, the Author indicates new interpretations of the saga, analysing it mostly in its morphological aspects and showing the signs of its internal and external structure. The content is the core of the historical development of the theme and motifs and here the author can trace important connections between the motifs of the saga and the motifs of the fairy-tale. The saga is thus analysed in its quality of making « the folk belief » a more concrete expressions on the psychological and quasi psichological points of view. The Author makes, then, an attempt of historico-cultural interpretation, lingerin over the function of the saga in the social and human sphere and demonstrating how sagas can be seen as examples of positive or negative overcoming of the human and social conflicts. The Author, at the end, hints at some proposals of modern interpretation which make sagas more understandable and present in our time. Alla saga popolare viene generalmente attribuito un contenuto reale maggiore che alla fiaba; ciò nondimeno la si considera una forma narrativa che appartiene al passato e che non può più essere praticata. Non si tien conto, però, che le fondamentali motivazioni psicologiche, che sottostanno a ogni interpretazione leggendaria, non si sono fino ad oggi modificate di molto. Con un'ottica interdisciplinare l'Autore indica nuovi punti di vista per l'interpretazione della saga, considerandola innanzitutto sotto l'aspetto morfologico e descrivendone i segni della struttura interna ed esterna. Il contenuto sta alla base della trattazione storica del tema e dei motivi: qui vengono segnalate importanti relazioni fra motivi della saga e motivi della fiaba. Viene quindi considerata e analizzata la saga come « concretizzazione della credenza popolare » sotto il punto di vista psicologico e parapsicologico. L'Autore opera, poi, un tentativo di interpretazione storico-culturale, soffermandosi sulla funzione della saga nell'ambito sociale e umano e dimostrando come le saghe possano essere viste come esempio di superamento positivo o negativo di conflitti umani e sociali. L'Autore accenna infine ad alcune proposte di interpretazione moderna, che rendono le saghe più comprensibili e attuali nel nostro tempo.
