• Despite the age boom, the aging of people with disabilities has gone largely without comment. In times past, people with significant disabilities often had abbreviated life expectancies. In light of current trends toward longer lifespans, aging and disability service systems need to address the multifaceted needs of people aging with long-term disability. This article examines the double jeopardy of age and disability faced by this underserved population and outlines how service providers can work to ameliorate this situation.
