• In August 2018, Maxime Bernier, then a Member of Parliament (MP) for the Conservative Party of Canada, launched a Twitter diatribe against “extreme multiculturalism.” In the series of five tweets, he wrote: extreme multiculturalism and cult of diversity will divide us into little tribes that have less and less in common, apart from their dependence on government in Ottawa.
