• The Siberian Thermophysical Seminar (STS) has been traditionally held at Kutateladze Institute of Thermophysics SB RAS in Novosibirsk Akademgorodok since 1960. This area being thirty kilometers away for the city represents a largest scientific center in the easter part of Russia with 35 multidisciplinary institutes spread around Akademgorodok.
