Among several approaches used to make companies competitive, Lean Six Sigma combines the principles of two ensured methodologies to generate value for customers through improvements on the process. In this work, a Lean Six Sigma project is implemented using DMAIC on a LPG cylinder distribution company to reduce the time necessary to prepare the truck for deliveries, increasing its net profit. The data analysis involved dealing with a non-normal distribution, and the implementation results showed that the objective was achieved with low-cost solutions by focusing on the right causes. We also present a discussion on the influence of assuming a normal distribution in comparison to Johnson transformation on the outcome of the project.
