Ship-to-air missiles with semi-active radar homing guidance systems usually use MPG(modified proportional guidance) law to control the missile to intercept the targets in the final guidance stage. In order to simulate the trajectory of the missile intercepting the targets and calculate the guidance precision of the missiles, it is necessary to carry out simulation of MPG law of ship-to-air missiles. Firstly, several basic proportional guidance equations of missiles were introduced, and then a MPG law which can be used to intercept anti-ship missiles was introduced. Finally, the MPG law was simulated. The simulation results indicate that the MPG law can be used to simulate the flight trajectories of SAMs(ship-to-air missiles) intercepting airplanes and ASMs(anti-ship missiles) to ensure the missile encounters the targets, and the miss range is within the allowable range. This indicates that the MPG law can be effectively used to simulate the ship-to-air missiles intercepting high-altitude airplanes and ultra-low-altitude anti-ship missiles.
