A 105/140 GHz MW-level gyrotron has been developed aiming for fusion application at IAE from 2020. The gyrotron employed a triode MIG, a cylindrical cavity working under a TE18, 7 mode for 105GHz and a TE24, 9 mode for 140GHz. A built-in quasi-optical mode converter, a single-stage depressed collector and a boron nitride single-disk window were adopted. In the recent test of this year, the dual-frequency gyrotron achieved test results of 520 kW at 105 GHz and 320 kW at 140 GHz under 1-Hz 10-ms continuous pulse-burst operations, and 300 kW/600ms, 450 kW/250ms at 105 GHz.
