  • Hematite \left(\alpha-Fe_{2}O_{3}\right) is an important n-type semiconductor due to its widespread applications in catalysts, dyes and gas analysers. The research of the last decade of the chemical synthesis methods of nanostructured hematite by hydrolytic synthesis, sol-gel synthesis, hydrothermal method, thermal decomposition, ultrasound, the microwave was highlighted. This paper presents the effect of precursor concentration on the morpho-structure on the morphology of iron oxide elaborated by hydrolytic synthesis. In the experimental research, hematite was elaborated by the hydrolytic method using different concentrations of the precursor: 0.1 M, 0.4 M and 0.7 M FeCl 3 at the same synthesis temperature of 85^{\circ}\mathrm{C} under the action of the hydrolysis agent 2M NaOH. The morphostructural characterization is demonstrate by means of electronic microscopy, diffraction and spectroscopy. The results show that the morphology varied from spindles, spheres, rods, platelets, and particle sizes depending on the precursor salt concentration.
