  • In In recent trends, with the deregulation of the electricity market, the usual perception and proceeding of the power systems is altered. Improved consumption of the current power system to enhance the capacity by introducing FACTS devices becomes imperious. In a fast and effective manner, the FACTS devices contain the criterion and the variables of the transmission line, that is line impedance, terminal voltages, and voltage angle. The main purpose of FACTS is to control power flows and some benefits include development in system dynamic behavior and thus improvement in system reliability. However, these features play an expanding and extensive role in the working and control of competitive power systems. One of the FACTS devices TCSC (Thyristor controlled Series Capacitor) is incorporated in the conventional NR load flow technique (Fang Wanliang and H.W. Ngan 1997) and the voltages and line flows with and without TCSC are compared. The objective of ATC Enhancement algorithm with FACTS devices is to improve the loadability limit and to minimize the Voltage deviation index so that a set of operational constraints of transmission system, generation system and control variables of FACTS devices are met.
