  • Challenges emerge when multiple players with varying learning disabilities intend to play an online educational game together. In order to promote collaboration among children, we argue that such a game must provide both common and private playing spaces simultaneously for each player. This paper elaborates our design process based on cases we have encountered in the past years while developing games for children with autism spectrum disorder. Three variants of games are discussed, each with two or more different proposed design solutions drawn from our studies and observations of children interacting with them.
