  • In the wireless communication, with the increasing demand of internet, video and data sharing, higher communication speed and capacity communication technologies have developed. In this stage, the fact that the frequency band is not an infinite size source is an important problem. Problems arise when sharing this limited resource by different communication technologies. As a result of different distance needs of the users in wireless communication, the development of short and long range technologies has become inevitable. This study is based on technical features and advantages and disadvantages of Long Range technology according to Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPAN). It examines the two technologies comparatively and presents their characteristics.
