This paper describes the effect of nonlinear distortion and null stability on spatial-multiplexing performance using our developed 4.65-GHz-band active antenna system with digital-pre-distortion (DPD). Superior spatial-multiplexing performance over a wide dynamic range is achieved. Due to nonlinear distortion compensation with DPD in the high-power region, the downlink (DL) signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) even at 16-layer is improved by 6 dB, from 19 to 25 dB, at the maximum rated output. And thanks to high precision null formation by highly accurate successive calibration in the low-power region, at 16-layer multiplexing, an SINR of 28 dB is obtained.
