The article investigates spatial signal processing in antenna arrays. The main attention is paid to optimization of spatial structure of antenna array to improve interference immunity and information parameters accuracy estimation. On the basis of statistical approximation the optimal spatial structure is estimated and the variance of estimation error is defined. The analysis of estimation-correlation-compensation signal processing algorithm in presence of both broadband Gaussian interferences and a non-Gaussian interference is carried out. It is assumed that the processing realized by optimizing amplitude-phase distribution at the aperture of antenna array, by optimizing the spatial structure of processing system, as well as by the subsequent non-linear compensation of non-Gaussian interference and by correlation processing. Analytical expression for signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) is obtained, thereby allowing optimization of spatial structure. Synthesis and analysis of algorithms for estimating the direction to the signal source under the influence of spatially correlated interfering signals in two-dimensional few-element antenna array have been carried out. The parameters of dispersion ellipses for estimated angular coordinates have been calculated.
