  • In this paper, we use the method of scales transformation theory of electromagnetic field to realize transparent of the ellipsoid target with caddied metamaterials. Through coordinate transformation, the ellipsoid target is transformed into a spherical one. On this basis, the scattering cross section of the spherical target with caddied metamaterials is calculated by using Mei theory, the conditions of realizing the transparent for the spherical target is analyzed, as well. By numerical calculation of the scattering section, the correctness of this method is verified. At the same time, the results are simulated by HFSS software. It is shown that great influence on the scattering section can be occurred by changing the thickness of caddied metamaterials. Proper choice for the size of the inside radius and outside radius can realize target transparent or target invisible. The method in this paper is simple, convenient, and it can reach the engineering calculation accuracy. The results of this paper have many application value and broad prospect of application in radar target detection, invisible technology, and so on.
