Future space missions call for advanced computing system architectures fulfilling strict size, weight and power consumption (SWaP) requisites, decreasing the mission cost and ensuring the safety and timeliness of the system. The AIR (ARINC 653 in Space Real-Time Operating System) architecture defines a partitioned environment for the development and execution of aerospace applications, following the notion of time and space partitioning (TSP), preserving application timing and safety requisites. Due to the change of the mission plans or in the presence of unexpected events, it may be necessary or useful to be able to reconfigure the scheduling of the system applications at execution time. In this paper we present an algorithm for updating application schedules, showing results from the proof-of-concept prototype in the scope of the AIR architecture.
