Fuzzy synthetic evaluation is an effective decision-making method in the comprehensive evaluation of things affected by multiple factors. During the evaluation, the evaluation results are expressed in the fuzzy sets, but not denoted in the positive or negative manner absolutely. When evaluating the stamping performance, die engineers generally used some descriptions as ¿good forming performance¿, ¿bad forming performance¿, ¿able to form¿, and etc., to assess the stamped parts. However all these descriptions were fuzzy conceptions in a great extent. In order to solve these problems, fuzzy synthetic evaluation method was utilized in this paper to evaluate the forming performance of the stamped parts. Firstly, the influencing factor set including shape complexity factors, material performance factors, precision factors, etc., was established. Secondly, the evaluation set was built based on the evaluation results of the forming performance. Then, the evaluation weight set of forming performance was constructed according to the different effects of each factor. Finally, the forming performance of a typical stamped part was evaluated based on the developed fuzzy synthetic evaluation model, and the perfect result was achieved.
