In this paper, we designed a rectangular triple-band microstrip patch antenna with a defective ground structure. The design is thoroughly discussed, and the results are simulated using ANSYS EDT. Our analysis is based on key elements like return loss, bandwidth, gain, and current distribution, providing a global assessment of the antenna's performance. In this proposed design, the first band exhibits a resonant frequency of 3.32 GHz with a bandwidth of 0.3 GHz and a return loss of -18.49 dB. The resonant frequency of the second band is 4.4 GHz, accompanied by a bandwidth of 0.09 GHz and a return loss of -15.57 dB. The third band operates at a resonant frequency of -5.54 GHz, offering a bandwidth of 0.26 GHz and a return loss of -14.6 dB. The proposed antenna exhibits various Wi-Max applications and wireless applications of STM32.
