  • Wind rotor efficiency is based on the high performance of their parts. The blade is classed first as the essential part that is responsible for collecting wind energy. That is related to geometry which is a combination of section form, chord, and twist distribution. The section shape in general is an airfoil. In this work, an evaluation study has been established based on Matlab code and Qblade software. In which new distribution of chord and twist angle have been defined based on variation of Reynolds number in aim to maximum energy production. A 5KW wind rotor was proposed to evaluate the best distribution with the NACA2412 OF airfoil section intended to be installed on the Adrar, Hassi R'mel, Tindouf, and Ain Salah zones. The results show that the model adopted to Reynolds numbers greater than 1e6 gave the best annual production with maximum gain registered by the model adopted to 1.2e6 of Reynolds number.
