• The structural and electronic contigurations of fluorides of the 3d-elements in higher oxidation states (ionic radii, nature of the chemical bonds and factors influencing it, etc.) are discussed. A comparison 1s made with the fluorides of the 4d- and 5d-elements. The laws determining the chemical, structural, and elec­tronic properties of the transition of the 3d-elements in higher oxidation states were derived on the basis of the experimental data.
