• The two-volume Library of America publication on Zora Neale Hurston presents the writer in her milieu. The first volume, 'Zora Neale Hurston: Folklore, Memoirs and Other Writings,' is a collection of essays and autobiographical writings. The second, Zora Neale Hurston: Novels and Stories,' is a collection of her fiction. Edited by Cheryl A. Wall, the two volumes voice out Hurston's still relevant views on contemporary issues: social constructs of race, class and gender, gender and language, the African diaspora and politics of literacy.
