Beschreibungen/Notizen
This work analyzes the relationships between television fiction and the pandemic in Spain, through the study of a case: Diarios de la cuarentena (Diaries of Quarantine, TVE, 2020). Created, produced and consumed on the scene of the Covid-19 crisis, this situation comedy is an absolutely conjunctural product in which both visuality and the hegemonic television themes of the crisis converge. The work focuses on the content, analyzing it, to delve into the narrative and visuality of the story, using close reading technique. But it also includes its reception on Twitter: the comments, the most prominent broadcasters, the users' assessment, or the emotions linked to the tweets will be unraveled to identify the meanings of the TV series for the public. The results affect how the readings of the series have been eminently political, and less humorous than the narrative intended. Keywords: television fiction; Covid-19; content analysis; reception; Twitter.
