• This article presents a study of the linkage of photography and historical-artistic heritage since the invention of it. From an extensive bibliographic and documentary review, on the one hand, we research how it has been integrated as one of the Fine Arts with some difficulty, obtaining an artistic value finally, and on the other hand, the role it exercises within the historical-artistic heritage, mainly, for its documentary value.
