For Frantz Fanon, centuries of slavery had a psychological effect on the black community, which he called bleaching complex. Based on four works of the anti-slavery novelist, of a costumbrista nature, from nineteenth-century Cuba, the different forms this complex took in the context of the island are analyzed. Keywords: Cuban anti-slavery novelist, whitening complex Para Frantz Fanon, los siglos de esclavitud fueron originando un efecto psicologico en la colectividad negra, al que llamo complejo de blanqueamiento. A partir de cuatro obras de la novelistica antiesclavista, de corte costumbrista, de la Cuba decimononica, se analizan las distintas formas que adopto este complejo en el contexto de la isla. C'est ce qu'il appela le complexe de blanchissement. Prenant pour point de depart quatre reuvres regionalistes et anti-esclavagistes cubaines datant du dix-neuvieme siecle, nous analysons les differentes formes qu'a pu prendre ce complexe dans l'ile.
