• The article presents the history of psychotherapy in the GDR giving special attention to the development of psychodynamic and psychoanalytic methods. The battle around psychoanalytic theory and practice was not only significant from the aspect of therapeutic conceptions but also with regard to the personal development of psychotherapists and in view of the fact that it provided an opportunity to keep distance from the politics and ideology of the GDR. The study gives an overview of the wide range of psychotherapeutic methods applied in the GDR. The remarkable development of psychotherapy in the GDR is aptly shown by the organisational structure of psychotherapy in that country; this structure was set up by the Society for Medical Psychotherapy of the GDR, the Psychological Society of the GDR and the regional associations. Another indicator for the development can be seen in the way neurotic-functional disorders were diagnosed and treated in a mutually supportive system involving psychotherapy specialists, medical psychologists and specialised psychotherapy. The study also describes the difficulties involved in the social recognition of GDR psychotherapy up to the times of the political turn in the country, when psychotherapy practiced in the GDR merged into the guideline-based psychotherapeutic system prevailing in the Federal Republic of Germany. The article pays tribute to the work carried out by influential psychotherapists in the GDR. Keywords: psychotherapy, GDR, communism, state socialism, dictatorship, history, retrospect, helping profession, forms of therapy, organisations, katathym imaginative psychotherapy Es wird die Geschichte der Psychotherapie der DDR mit besonderer Betonung der psychodynamisch-psychoanalytischen Methodenentwicklung dargestellt. Der Kampf um psychoanalytische Theorie und Praxis war nicht nur fur die Therapie-Konzepte, sondern auch fur die personliche Entwicklung von Psychotherapeuten und als Moglichkeit zur Distanzierung vom politisch-ideologischen Gesellschaftssystem der DDR von Bedeutung. Es wird aber auch ein Uberblick uber die vielfaltigen Psychotherapie-Methoden in der DDR gegeben. Die Organisationsstrukturen der Psychotherapie, gestaltet durch die Gesellschaft fur arztliche Psychotherapie der DDR, durch die Gesellschaft fur Psychologie der DDR, durch die Regionalgesellschaften, durch das abgestufte System der Diagnostik und Therapie neurotisch-funktioneller Storungen mit dem Facharzt fur Psychotherapie, dem Fachpsychologen der Medizin und einer fachspezifischen Subspezialisierung "Psychotherapie" machen die beeindruckende Entwicklung der Psychotherapie in der DDR deutlich. Dabei werden die Schwierigkeiten der gesellschaftlichen Anerkennung der Psychotherapie in der DDR bis zur Integration in das bundesdeutsche System der Richtlinien-Psychotherapie nach der "Wende" in der DDR dargestellt. Die tragenden Personlichkeiten der Psychotherapie in der DDR werden in ihrem Wirken gewurdigt. Borba oko psihoanaliticke metode i prakse nije bila znacajna samo s gledista terapijske koncepcije, nego i za osobni razvoj psihoterapeuta, odnosno i zato, jer je pruzila mogucnost za odmak od ideolosko-politickog sustava NDR. Studija pruza pregled mnogostrukih psihoterapijskih metoda primjenjenih u NDR. Organizacijsko ustrojstvo psihoterapije koja tece u Njemackoj Demokratskoj Republici, koje su oblikovali Drustvo psihoterapijskih lijecnicka NDR, Drustvo psihologa NDR i podrucna drustva, kao i sustav koji se nadograduje na dijagnostiku i terapiju neuroticno-funkcionalnih smetnja, koji ukljucuje lijecnika specijalistu psihoterapije, lijecnika specijalist-psihologa i specijaliziranu psihoterapiju, dobro pokazuju razvoj psihoterapije dostojan paznje u Njemackoj Demokratskoj Republici. Pored toga studija prikazuje poteskoce drustvenog priznanja psihoterapije sve do politickog obrata nastalog u NDR, kada se ona ustrojila u sustav smjernica--psihoterapije Savezne Republike Njemacke. Clanak se pohvalno prisjeca rada istaknutih licnosti psihoterapije u NDR. Boj kolem psychoanalyticke teorie a praxe je vyznamny nejen z pohledu terapeutickych koncepci, ale i pro osobni vyvoj psychoterapeuta, resp. proto, ze umoznoval distanci od politicko-ideologickeho systemu NDR. Studie dava prehled o mnohotvarnosti psychoterapeutickych metod pouzivanych v NDR. Velmi dobre ukazuje pozoruhodny vyvoj psychoterapie v NDR struktura jeji organizace, ktera sestavala z Lekarske psychoterapeuticke spolecnosti NDR, ze psychologicke spolecnosti NDR a oblastnich spolecnosti, resp. ze systemu navzajem na sebe napojenych systemu diagnostiky a lecby neuroticko-funkcnich poruch, jehoz soucasti byli specializovany lekar, psychoterapeut, psycholog a specialni "psychoterapie". Studie pritom prezentuje i potize spolecenskeho uznani provadeni psychoterapie v NDR do obdobi politickeho zvratu, kdy se zaclenila do systemu psychoterapie Nemecke spolkove republiky. A tanulmany bemutatja emellett az NDK-ban vegzett pszichoterapia tarsadalmi elismeresenek nehezsegeit egeszen az orszagban bekovetkezett politikai fordulatig, amikor betagolodott a Nemet Szovetsegi Koztarsasag iranyelv-pszcihoterapias rendszerebe. Praca omawia ponadto trudnosci w zaakceptowaniu prowadzonej psychoterapii przez spoleczenstwo NRD, az do przewrotu politycznego, kiedy stala sie ona czescia przyjetego systemu psychoterapeutycznego Niemieckiej Republiki Federalnej. W zakonczeniu autor przedstawia osiagniecia najwazniejszych tworcow psychoterapi w NRD. Lupta in jurul teoriei si practicii de psihoanalitica a fost semnificativa nu numai din punctul de vedere al conceptiilor terapeutice, ci si pentru dezvoltarea personala a psihoterapeutilor, si pentru ca le-a oferit o oportunitate distantiera de sistemul politic-ideologic al RDG. Studiul ofera o prezentare generala despre diversificarea metodelor psihoterapeutice folosite in RDG. Se demonstreaza dezvoltarea remarcabila a psihoterapiei in RDG, structura organizatorica a psihoterapiei in Republica Democrata Germana, pe care Societatea Medicala de Psihoterapie din RDG, Societatea Psihologica din RDG si companiile regionale le-au format de asemenea in diagnostizarea dezordinii neurotice-functionale si in sistemul suprapunerii al terapiei, unde partile sunt medicul specialist psihoterapeut, medicul specialist psiholog si specialitatea de "psihoterapie".
