This article presents a study related to criticism from the environmental linked to water consumption of eucalyptus, making a comparison with the water consumption of the Atlantic Forest and other agricultural crops as well as clarifying the farmers the importance of conservation of water supplies for according to the Brazilian forest Code. It presents in the form of analysis of several scientific articles regarding the problem addressed. Keywords: Density pluviometric, evapotranspiration, Forest management O presente artigo apresenta um estudo voltado as criticas ambientais relacionadas ao consumo de agua do eucalipto, fazendo uma comparacao com o consumo de agua da Mata Atlantica e de outras culturas agricolas, alem de esclarecer ao produtor rural a importancia de conservacao dos mananciais de agua de acordo com o codigo florestal brasileiro.
