• Computer graphics has a rich history of innovation, which is highlighted in the full-length documentary, The Story of Computer Graphics. In 1955, the SAGE Machine is developed to track enemy aircraft, and it provides the first interactive computer graphics. In 1963 Ivan Sutherland's Sketchpad interactive graphics software is demonstrated. In 1966, Dave Evans is recruited to the University of Utah to found the first computer graphics department.
